SimVimX: wiring: 7-segment Indicators
SimVimX firmware includes original code developed from scratch specifically for MAX7219, TM1637 LED controllers, according to the technical specification of each device type, without using any libraries.
SimVimX System directly supports the most commonly used 7-segment display modules based on MAX7219, TM1637 drivers and shift registers (HC595), as well as custom displays assembled on 16-bit LED drivers or 8-bit shift registers. The number of 7-segment indicators (digits) on each display can be any from 1 to 8.
Totally, you can have any number of displays of different type and size connected to RSC/SImVimX controller board that you may need in your cockpit. It depends on the connection method you will use (direct, extended or combined), all details below.
Building 7 segment displays in your cockpit requires no PCB fabrication and minimal soldering, as the SimVimX System uses standard display modules as a primary option.
SimVimX firmware has configuration options for direct control and using output extension (multiplexer) control for 7-segment indicators.
